Lou has been recognized with awards in numerous local and regional shows. Some of these include the Third Place People’s Choice Award for her sunset seascape mural mentioned on the home page when she participated in the Downtown Morehead City Public Art Project. She has also received Honorable Mentions in both acrylics and watercolor in the Beaufort County Arts Council Show, which is held in Washington, NC each year. Her renderings have been juried into as well the Greenville Museum of Art and she’s received several awards in the Martin County Arts Show and the Grifton Shad Festival.
